A man smoking crack accidently sets himself on fire as he stuffed a lighter in his pocket, while he was walking down a Brooklyn street.

In a 30 second video of the incident shows the unidentified man walking on street nonchalantly as his clothes burned on Halsey St. Tompkins Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

Ziearre Flowers an 18-year-old recorded the video on Sunday.

Ziearre’s mother, Aaronda Flowers said that she was with her husband as her son was parking their car after they returned from church, when they noticed the burning man.

She said that the man lit himself on fire; at first Mrs. Flowers thought it was burning tree, it was a small fire she said and then she realized it was actually a man on fire.

Ziearre ran out of the car, while videotaping as he was not sure what he was witnessing.

When the burning man comes into view on the video, he is about a half a block away from Ziearre and already fully engulfed in flames. Two other witnesses are standing on the other end of the block.

The man walked into the street between two parked cars as the video ended. When the Cops and firefighters arrived the victim had already vanished.

Officials said that FDNY fire marshals returned the next day to investigate on the incident and learned the man’s identity,

The victim had returned to his home and fallen asleep. When he woke up, his horrified family was horrified to see burns on him and was taken to New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell in stable condition.

The victim told his family that he had set himself on fire when he put a still-burning cigarette lighter in his pocket while smoking crack, DNAinfo reported.

The video, posted on social media by @NYCFireWire, has received more than 1,400 views.

Meanwhile so many people criticized the videographer for not helping the victim.
