Mexican chef is serving up the most expensive taco in the whole world for astonishing 25,000 USD. But, no one is looking forward to taste the adequate dish.
Chef Juan Licerio Alcala, who works at the one of the most luxurious hotels in Cabo San Lucas, Grand Velas Los Cabos, put the Kobe beef, lobster, beluga caviar and black-truffle Brie cheese- stuffed taco last month on the menu.
Alcala said that the gut-busting medley is stuffed into a gold-infused corn tortilla” and topped with “exotic” salsa made with rare chilies, tequila and coffee.
He said that he personally explains to the guests the delicacy, the technique and the harmony that they will lift from the plate, and assures that the dish is worth it.
But, not even a single person has plunked down the dinero, and some foodies groped that the pricey concoction is an abomination of the classic street food dish.
Podcast host Matt Peters tweeted, ““Most expensive taco in the world …followed shortly by the most expensive trip to the restroom in the world”.
To order this expensive dish, one must stay in the hotel’s luxury presidential suite and deposit 12,500 USD.
Alcala, of Durango, Mexico, has suggested to pair the taco with a 150,000 USD bottle of Pasion Aztexa, which is the world’s most expensive tequila, of course.
