In the midst of the debate about Ranveer Singh leaving Don 3, it has emerged that the actor plans to remain silent on the issue for a minimum of 18 months. It has been reported that Singh will not talk to any journalists or reporters until his upcoming film, Jay Mehta's Pralay, is released.
"I spoke to him face-to-face," a reporter mentioned, as per the Free Press Journal, and added, “He informed me that he won't comment on the Don 3 situation, nor will he participate in interviews for at least a year and a half. " The disagreement between Ranveer Singh and Farhan Akhtar regarding Don 3 has turned into one of the biggest scandals in Bollywood. Multiple online sources have stated that Singh left the film because of creative disagreements with the producers. Other reports have also indicated that Ranveer was dissatisfied with the continuous delays in production and the lack of a confirmed final script. What was initially seen as a simple casting switch has now transformed into a legal issue, with Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment seeking Rs 45 crore in damages and the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) having issued a non-cooperation order against the actor, which has since been lifted.
Pralay is a thriller featuring zombies, set in a world after a catastrophe. It will take place in a devastated Mumbai and will apparently use AI-generated visuals to show a ruined, decaying version of the city. The film is directed by Jai Mehta, who is the son of filmmaker Hansal Mehta, making his debut in theatrical direction. Jai has previously co-directed the series Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story and Lootere, and he is recognized for his authentic storytelling approach. The movie is being co-produced by Hansal Mehta and Sameer Nair’s Applause Entertainment, adding more significance to what is becoming one of the more unique Hindi films in the works. It is reported that the script for Pralay has been completed, and filming for the movie is expected to start soon.
