"Good Job”: After speeding ticket, driver has two words for trooper!!

A motorist has praised high for the officer who pulled him over Sunday. State Police troopers writing speeding tickets along the Garden State Parkway is hardly unusual. But the reaction of one driver to his own recent traffic, "How many people write a letter to compliment a trooper after receiving a speeding ticket? The answer is very, very few," the agency wrote on its Facebook page on Thursday, along with the full text of a letter from Dave Coskey, who had been stopped over the weekend for leaning a little too heavily on the gas pedal.
In his letter, Coskey, the general manager of a string of radio stations and a former Atlantic City casino executive, said that he had been driving his wife's car when he was pulled over.
He wrote, "Needless to say I was pretty embarrassed. I've driven 100,000 miles a year for the past ten years and haven't been stopped for at least 15 years. I usually pay pretty close attention to what I'm doing. Needless to say I wasn't happy with myself”.
He said that, what prompted Coskey to write, was the young trooper's attitude as he handed the ticket over.
Coskey quoted the trooper saying, "He could have easily handed me the summons and walked away. But he didn't --- he said, 'Truthfully, we're not out here to only give out tickets but I'm not sure if you are aware or not – but we've had some recent fatal accidents on this part of the Parkway and we're really trying to get people to slow down – to save lives'".
The trooper, whose name was withheld at his request, then escorted Coskey off the shoulder and back onto the roadway for Coskey's safety.
Coskey also wrote, "I realize that the NJSP are trained to be professional – but I never expected to be blown away by an interaction with a trooper after being stopped,"
