Kristian Berg Harpviken, the director of the Peace Research Institute of Oslo in Norway,  announced that, Donald Trump, republican presidential candidate is being nominated for  the 2016 Nobel peace prize for “his vigorous peace through strength ideology, used as a threat weapon of deterrence against radical Islam, ISIS, nuclear Iran and Communist China.”

Pope Francis, the Greek islanders who helped refugees , Angela Merkel, German Chancellor,   Nadia Murad, a Yazidi who is an ISIS rape victim and Denis Mukwege, a Congolese gynecologist, who treated thousands of women who were raped and brutalized in Congo,  are the other nominees for this year Nobel peace prize.

There were some other surprising Nobel prize nominations in the past, such as, Benito Mussolini, Vladimir Putin, Joseph Stalin and even Adolf Hitler.
