This Sunday Suresh Raina was not on the cricket ground, but was in a recording studio singing for Meeruthiya Gangsters through which Zeishan Quadri makes his debut as a director.

The Chennai Super Kings star Suresh Raina was quoted as saying that, “It was a different experience. My wife hails from Meerut and it was she who encouraged me to sing. At home, I’m anyway singing all the time; in my house, when I travel. So, I saw this as an extension of my hobby.”

Suresh said that he felt the pressure while singing the number (‘Tum Mile Mein Mila’) as the entire set up was a musical set-up that was professional. “We did a lot of test rehearsals of the lines before going for the final recording,” the cricketer added. Raina is a big fan of Mohammed Rafi and Sonu Nigam.

At the age of 20, the star cricketer made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka in 2006. Five years later, again against Sri Lanka, Raina made his Test debut in 2010. Suresh was a part of India's World Cup winning team of 2011.

Scheduled to release on 18 September 2015, Meeruthiya Gangster is an Indian Crime - Comedy film. Zeishan Quadri is both the directoer and producer of the movie for which Vivek Kar and Siddhant Mishra composed music.
