Oops! Museum devoted to breakups

When we hear the word 'Museum', a glimpse of historical art pieces comes into our mind. But, there is a Museum devoted to breakups, in Los Angeles! Surprised? The latest addition to Hollywood Boulevard's long parade of craze is a museum devoted to broken relationships.

The Museum of Broken Relationships was opened in the Los Angeles. It exhibits 104 objects salvaged from the wreckage of failed or expired relationships.

The Museum shows the  everyday objects, which have been submitted by the ordinary people. It includes an empty tube of toothpaste, a collection of Brazilian Playboy back issues, and a torn pair of blue jeans. There is even a tiny vial of pubic hair.

Assistant director Amanda Vandenberg insists that Los Angeles is a perfect location for it as "There's so much history and so many broken relationships associated with the Walk of Fame. LA is a city of wild hopes and dreams and all the defeats that come with that."

Vandenberg said that, the museum is "a very sophisticated piece of conceptual art."  "When you go through a separation from another human being, whether it's romantic or familial or with a friend, you feel like no one has hurt that way before, no one has felt like that but you read these stories and realize that other people have, and it makes you feel very connected."

The original Museum of Broken Relationships was founded a decade ago in Zagreb, Croatia. But the American lawyer and art collector John B Quinn taken the concept and decided to import it to LA.
