First lady Melania Trump on Sunday uncharacteristically waded into a ferocious argument around immigration, pushing for bipartisan cooperation to terminate the separation of migrant children from their parents at the border.

"Mrs. Trump hates to see children separated from their families and hopes both sides of the aisle can finally come together to achieve successful immigration reform," according to a statement from her spokeswoman. "She believes we need to be a country that follows all laws, but also a country that governs with heart."

Melania Trump's statement stood in direct contrast to statements made by Attorney General Jeff Sessions who enforced the policy "Zero tolerance" that has headed to the separation of families at the border.

The Democrats have been blasted by president frequently anti to his immigration reform proposal, incorrectly crediting an anti-trafficking law that passed unanimously under 43rd United States president George W. Bush for the family separations in 2008.

The family separations, that is detention of children apart from their parents is a consequence of the policy mandated by Attorney General Jeff Sessions, and there is no law that requires family separation. As such, Congressional action is not essential to stop it. Session said the purpose is to sooner or later prosecute everyone who crosses the border illicitly.

Sessions in respect to the policy earlier this week leading to family separations said having children does not give migrants immunity from prosecution and citing the Bible as justification.

"Non-citizens who cross our borders unlawfully, between our ports of entry, with children are not an exception," the attorney general said. "They are the ones who broke the law, they are the ones who endangered their own children on their trek."

The leaders and proponents on Father's Day marched and visited immigration detention center as a result of Trump's policies to call attention to separated parents and children. The members of Congress from New Jersey and New York demanded entree to in private-run detention facility in New Jersey to encounter with confined fathers separated from their children.
